Media watchLiverpool close to agreeing Florian Wirtz transfer after tabling gigantic second bid

Liverpool have made an improved bid for Florian Wirtz which is closer to Bayer Leverkusen's £126million valuation.

Wirtz, 22, is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield if the Reds strike a deal, as the Leverkusen star has already rejected Bayern Munich.

It's understood that Liverpool lodged an opening bid of £85m earlier this week. German outlet Bild now report that their second offer is worth a whopping £100m plus £10-12m in potential add-ons.
