Liverpool can accomplish a rare feat by beating Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds head to Selhurst Park with the chance to claim a 10th successive league win over the Eagles, which would be only the fourth time the club has recorded such a run against the same opponent.

They previously achieved 12 consecutive league victories over West Bromwich Albion between 1985 and 2012, and 10 in a row versus Notts County (1920 to 1955) and Bolton Wanderers (1988 to 1997).

Liverpool’s 7-0 win in the corresponding fixture of last season was their biggest ever away from home in the top flight. It was also the first time in a Premier League match seven goals were assisted by seven different players.

In the 25 Premier League clashes between these sides there have been 91 goals scored – an average of 3.64 goals per game. The Reds have netted in all but two of those.

Jürgen Klopp’s side are three goals short of recording 50 in away games this season in all competitions, having played 17 matches on the road so far.

Klopp has won every one of his previous six visits to Selhurst Park – all in the league.
