Press conferenceLFC Women team news: Possible debuts and injury updates
The midfielders completed loan moves to the Reds in the past few days from Chelsea and Bayern Munich respectively, each joining for the remainder of 2024-25.
And they could make their maiden appearances when Matt Beard’s side head to West Ham United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday (2pm GMT).
“They are both available for selection,” Beard confirmed during his pre-match press conference today. “They’ll both be available and obviously if they play, they play.”
Elsewhere in the squad, Leanne Kiernan is ready to return. However, the trip to Chigwell Construction Stadium comes too soon for Marie Höbinger and Niamh Fahey is sidelined for more than a month.
“Kiernan has been back in full training,” Beard continued. “Herby, this is probably too soon for her so she won’t be [involved].
“The only other injury is Niamh Fahey. She has got a knee problem and will be out for about six weeks. Apart from that, everyone else is fit.
“Faye Kirby will be back in full, full training next week. We have gradually been building her up over December and our second week back, so that’s exciting, especially for her for how long she has been out.
“That’s who is available and who is missing.”
Striker Sophie Roman Haug, meanwhile, is aiming to make her comeback from injury in the Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion next week.
