Liverpool FC Women are inviting supporters to make plans for a ‘Saturday Social’, a new community-led campaign designed to turn next week’s game against Arsenal into the biggest day out in women’s football on Merseyside.

The match at Anfield on Saturday May 16 is the Reds’ last WSL fixture of 2025-26 and fans can expect a festival atmosphere as Lauren Lo Sung performs a headline DJ set pre-match.

To kick things off, on Saturday May 9 there will be a pop-up ‘Saturday Social’ phone booth on Church Street in Liverpool city centre, where fans are invited to start making plans and discover a surprise message from a player.

The photo opportunity and activation will be there from 10am to 6pm for fans to take part in.

‘Saturday Social’ will feature a group of Liverpool-based collectives and fan voices helping lead the campaign across the city and online. It will also be driven by Liverpool-based communities who have already played a key role in growing support for the women’s team across the city.

Communities involved include Girls on the Go, Scouse Girl Social, plus creators Rach Rhodes, Yombo and Nahyan Chowdhury.

Thirteen thousand fans have already secured their seat for the clash with the Gunners – and tickets are still on sale here.

There is also limited availability remaining for hospitality ‘Brunch & Bubbles’ packages.
