NewsLFC supports Premier League's 'Inside Matters' campaign
The initiative, which runs across all Premier League fixtures across the weekend, aims to encourage fans to take time to check in on each other and highlight the importance of positive conversations around mental health.
At its core, ‘Inside Matters’ focuses on the simple but powerful message that talking and listening can be the first step in supporting someone’s wellbeing.
The campaign will be visible at the match with Chelsea and supporters are reminded the Kicking Off Conversations hub is available at all Premier League games at Anfield for fans to visit.
The hub provides a dedicated and welcoming space for supporters to talk openly and access support if they need it. Facilitated by trained staff and volunteers, the initiative encourages fans to connect with others, share experiences and seek guidance in an informal setting either for themselves or a loved one.
This initiative is part of the club’s and LFC Foundation’s wider commitment to improving health and wellbeing across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
The club has continued to host a number of activities for colleagues as part of its Red Together initiative, including wellbeing walks, meditation sessions and providing support and information on ways to look after our people’s mental health.
The Red Together initiative sits under The Red Way, LFC’s ongoing commitment to creating a better future for its people, planet and communities.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place next week, LFC Foundation will deliver a series of activities to support people’s mental health.
LFC Foundation will be delivering dedicated activities through its programmes, including a mental health awareness event at Anfield where 100 secondary-school students and staff across seven different schools in the Liverpool City Region will take part in a range of activities and discussion tables.
There are also a number of other mental health-related sessions being delivered across community venues throughout the week, including activity in a local primary school, youth club and The Hive in Birkenhead.
LFC Foundation provides a range of programmes to support people of all ages with their mental wellbeing as well as their physical health. Find out more about the programmes it offers here.
