NewsLFC named best digital and social team at Social Football Summit Awards

This accolade recognises the club's outstanding work across digital platforms over the past season and beyond.

In the 2024-25 season, LFC secured the highest social engagement in the Premier League for the second year in a row. The record-breaking campaign is the club's most successful season ever on social media, with 1.7 billion engagements across all platforms during the title-winning campaign - 10 per cent more than the previous season and 45 per cent above the second-most-engaged club in the league.

The day LFC won its 20th league title in April is the club's most-engaged day on social media with more than 60.7 million engagements in just 24 hours.

LFC also remained the most-watched Premier League team with a cumulative TV audience of 583.3 million across all competitions and 13.3 billion video views across all social platforms. The club's branded content, created for and alongside club partners, reached 935 million views – 56 per cent more than the next-highest Premier League team.

LFC also surpassed 215 million social followers and reached 12 million YouTube subscribers, becoming the first Premier League club to achieve this milestone. Meanwhile, the club's website was the most visited in the Premier League with 86.8 million visitors last season - 23 per cent more than the next-highest Premier League club - and had an average of 7.2 million visits a month.

Additionally, LFC launched three new WhatsApp channels last season, in Spanish, Portuguese and a dedicated channel for LFC Women. Last month, a new Indonesian WhatsApp channel also went live.

The Social Football Summit Awards - established in 2018 - celebrate excellence and innovation across the global football industry. The "Best Digital and Social Media Team – Club" category recognises creativity, strategic impact and performance across a full season of digital output. This year's ceremony took place in Turin, bringing together leading clubs, leagues, brands and media organisations from around the world.
