LFC Foundation is giving local charities and organisations the opportunity to apply for grants to support their work through the latest LFC Foundation Community Fund.

Created by LFC Foundation and supported by Liverpool FC, the fund was initially launched in April 2019 to help support children and young people who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.

It is organised in association with Cash for Kids, which supports both the administration of the fund and the allocation of individual grants. In the year of its launch alone, the grants provided were able to support more than 16,000 children across the city region, with more than 100 charities benefiting.

During the 2022-23 season, with the help from all Reds fans, LFC Foundation raised £1.45million from the two legends charity fixtures at Anfield, and we are delighted to confirm that £80,000 will be donated to local charities and organisations to help benefit the fantastic work they conduct across the Liverpool City Region.

Registered charities and organisations who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for grants of up to £3,000 from the LFC Foundation Community Fund, and potentially more in exceptional circumstances.

Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, said: "The LFC Foundation Community Fund is a great way for us to support smaller charities around Merseyside and the Liverpool City Region that do fantastic work to support local children and young people.

"To date, we have supported 114 local charities and organisations through this fund, which is something we are really proud of."
