ClubLFC fans raise almost £100k for Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal 2025
Liverpool FC wishes to thank its supporters who raised £98,471 for the latest Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The money was secured via combined activations across the club, including a match-worn shirt auction for the men’s and women’s teams after their dedicated remembrance fixtures at Anfield and St Helens Stadium, when each shirt featured the poppy emblem.
The funds raised will make a meaningful difference to the lives of ex-service personnel and their families in need.
The two designated remembrance fixtures in November were against Aston Villa in the Premier League and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Mohamed Salah’s match-worn shirt reached a staggering winning bid of £21,358, the most-valued shirt across the Premier League at the Poppy Appeal auction. He reached a special milestone in the game by scoring his 250th goal for the club.
Other activity included retailing the LFC 2025 Poppy Pin, which was sold via LFC Retail stores and online.
The Royal British Legion relies on donations from the Poppy Appeal to help provide vital support to the armed forces community and their families to ensure their unique contribution is never forgotten.
LFC works closely with Merseyside Royal British Legion representatives to support their work in the local community and also LFC Foundation’s military veterans project. This aims to support and re-engage ex-military service men and women back into civilian life through the power of football.
