NewsLeanne Kiernan completes permanent move to Newcastle United
The striker leaves Liverpool FC Women as the club's second-highest goalscorer in the Women's Super League era.
An arrival from West Ham United in the summer of 2021, Kiernan tallied 23 goals from her 76 appearances in all competitions.
Fourteen of them – including the club's fastest hat-trick, away at Blackburn Rovers – came during a blistering debut season to help Matt Beard's team win the FA Women's Championship.
The following campaign was disrupted by injury but the Republic of Ireland international discovered her scoring touch again by the end of 2023-24, netting three times on the final day to seal a top-four finish in the WSL.
Kiernan featured in 29 matches across her final two seasons as a Liverpool player, the last of which included a spell out on loan at Nottingham Forest.
Everybody at the club would like to thank Leanne for her contribution and wish her the very best for the future.
