By Andy Kelly
The 17-year-old has been a key figure in Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's U18s squad this season and also made appearances for the U21s in Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy and the Premier League International Cup.
Having started the season in a central midfield position, Morrison swiftly gravitated to the right wing, from where he has delivered a series of impressive displays.
In total he has scored 13 goals – several from long distance – and provided seven assists, including two strikes in his most recent outing against Sunderland last weekend, a game in which he again wore the captain’s armband.
Originally from Manchester, the Northern Ireland youth international joined the Reds at U14 level from Manchester United.
