NewsKieran Morrison named Premier League 2 Player of the Month for January

The 19-year-old scored five goals from his four appearances to earn the honour of being voted the division's standout performer in the opening month of 2026.

Morrison's highlight was producing a hat-trick and assist in a 7-0 win for Rob Page's side over Arsenal at the Kirkby Academy.

The attacker, who debuted for the Reds senior team in October, followed that up with match-winning penalties against Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

He emerged the winner from an eight-player shortlist, which included teammates Armin Pecsi and Keyrol Figueroa, to claim the award.
