NewsKatie Stengel's farewell message to Liverpool FC Women

The striker's departure from the Reds was confirmed on Wednesday, bringing an end to her memorable one-and-a-half-season spell at the club.

Stengel scored 19 times for Matt Beard's side in all competitions and was part of the squad that lifted the FA Women's Championship back in 2021-22.

Posting on Instagram, she said: "Thankful for a wonderful chapter with incredible teammates, fans, and support. I'll always cherish my time in Liverpool.

"My awkward hands and ugly facial expressions may be leaving, but I'll always be a fan cheering loud from afar!"
