NewsJürgen Klopp's update on Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota injuries
By James Carroll at Etihad Stadium
The pair picked up knocks at Etihad Stadium that will require further assessment from the Reds’ medical team to determine the severity of them.
Alisson went down holding his leg in stoppage time, but was able to continue. Jota, meanwhile, was forced from the field in the 54th minute.
Klopp told his post-match press conference: “The shadow on this game is obviously that Ali felt something and Diogo felt something – something we have to assess and then we will see.”
Expanding further on Alisson’s fitness, the boss added: “I hope it’s not that serious, but I don’t have the answer – no clue in the moment what it is.
“I spoke to him and he said he only felt [it] a little bit, but we have to wait for the scan.”
