Jürgen Klopp confirmed Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate missed Sunday’s victory over Brentford due to injuries.
The defenders were not part of the Liverpool squad for the 3-0 win against the Bees in the Premier League at Anfield.
And the manager explained the pair are being assessed for fitness concerns.
“Yeah, both for injury reasons as well,” Klopp said pre-match of Gomez and Konate’s exclusion.
“We will see how serious it is but they were not available today.”
France subsequently announced Konate’s withdrawal from their squad for the forthcoming international fixtures.
