The Spanish midfielder was unable to complete the Reds' Thursday session at the AXA Melwood Training Centre and will have her issue assessed.

Ceri Holland, however, could return from injury in the lunchtime clash with the Seagulls at Amex Stadium.

Speaking at her pre-match press conference, interim head coach Amber Whiteley said: "Ceri's been back in part-training this week, so we just need to see how she reacts to today's session and tomorrow's session as well. But she's been looking good.

"Julia came out in the early part of training today, so we just need to assess her and see where she's at.

"I need to go and see the medical team and see where she's at. It wasn't anything too serious but obviously it was enough to bring her out of the session."
