NewsJosh Sonni-Lambie shortlisted for U18 Premier League Player of the Season award

The Liverpool forward is on an eight-player shortlist, which was determined by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel, for the first edition of the prize.

Also in contention are Mathis Eboue and Chizaram Ezenwata (both Chelsea), Joseph Junior Gabriel and Albert Mills (both Manchester United), Teddie Lamb (Manchester City), Joe Roberts (Middlesbrough) and Tyler Tingey (Tottenham Hotspur).

Sonni-Lambie has scored 16 goals in 21 U18 Premier League North appearances this season, ahead of the young Reds’ final match of 2025-26, away at Derby County this evening.

The winner of the award will be announced at the Premier League’s youth development conference on Tuesday (May 12).
