Back-to-back wins, over Fulham and Everton respectively, mean the Reds are well placed for a top-five finish as the Premier League campaign draws to a close.
Ahead of this weekend, Arne Slot’s side are five points clear of sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion and also have a game in hand on the Seagulls.
In the other direction, Manchester United and Aston Villa sit three points ahead.
Next up is a fourth meeting of the season with Crystal Palace and Frimpong says the mood in the camp is positive after last Sunday’s incredible, last-gasp Merseyside derby victory.
The No.30 told Liverpoolfc.com: “We won the derby obviously after us [going] out of the Champions League, it was an important game for us and the fans.
“The spirits are good now, everyone is excited to go for the match on Saturday because Crystal Palace have beaten us three times this season. Obviously we want to show that we can beat them. We’re looking forward to the match.
“I feel like the matches coming up are really important – five more matches and we want to win all of them. I feel like we can do that. Obviously not finish the season on a ‘high’ but we can finish the season on wins. That’s what we want to do so we’ll go for it.
“We want to finish strongly and get Champions League. These matches are like finals so we’re going to give it our all, 100 per cent.”
Frimpong went on to admit Saturday’s game at Anfield holds added significance due to Palace’s 100 per cent winning record against Liverpool so far in 2025-26.
The Eagles overcame Arne Slot’s men on penalties in the FA Community Shield, 2-1 in the reverse league meeting and 3-0 versus a much-changed Reds squad in the Carabao Cup.
The Netherlands international added: “Yeah, 100 per cent [we owe them a defeat]. My first match for Liverpool, they beat us in the Community Shield and they knocked us out of the Carabao Cup, and obviously they beat us at their house.
“It’s not good getting beat three times so this is another meaningful game. We have to go and show what we’ve got.”
