AcademyJayden Danns nominated for Premier League 2 Player of the Month award

The Liverpool forward continued his fine form at PL2 level by registering two assists in two appearances, as well as winning the decisive penalty converted by Kaide Gordon in a 2-1 victory at Newcastle United.

Danns, who scored twice in the senior team's 3-0 win over Southampton in the Emirates FA Cup on Wednesday night, is up against seven other players for the prize.

Also nominated are Todd Alcock and Jamaldeen Jimoh (both Aston Villa), Leo Castledine, Brodi Hughes and Ronnie Sutter (all Chelsea), Leon Chiwome (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Zak Gilsenan (Blackburn Rovers).
