The Academy midfielder will link up with the League One side as he seeks further senior experience following a spell with Crawley Town last term.Balagizi, an England youth international, made 16 appearances and scored three goals for Crawley during the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.He has been with the Reds since arriving as an U11 and signed a new contract last summer having been named as a substitute for the senior team twice during 2021-22.Balagizi has again penned an extension with Liverpool before joining up with Wigan, who begin the new League One season away at Derby County on August 5.
