NewsIsaac Mabaya completes loan move to Wigan

The Liverpool Academy player links up with the League One club as he seeks to gain further senior experience.

Capable of playing in defence and midfield, 20-year-old Mabaya made his competitive Reds debut earlier this year in the Emirates FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle.

He has also been named on the bench on two other occasions for Liverpool, having been attending the club’s Academy since the age of six.

Wigan begin the new League One campaign at home to Northampton Town on Saturday.
