PreviewInternationals: Seven LFC Women players called up for action

Four of those selected by their countries are set for two matches apiece in the UEFA Women’s Nations League, with all games due to take place on May 30 and June 3.

Liverpool teammates Jenna Clark and Marie Höbinger will first face each other when Scotland host Austria at Hampden Park.

Scotland will then travel to take on the Netherlands in their second fixture, while Austria will later host Germany.

Ceri Holland and Gemma Evans, meanwhile, have been included by Wales as they travel to face Denmark, ahead of hosting Italy in Swansea.

Elsewhere, Fuka Nagano’s Japan will play out a friendly double-header away in Brazil with the first meeting coming on May 31, before a second fixture on June 3.

Olivia Smith and Canada have two home friendly encounters – both against Haiti – that will take place on May 31 and June 4.

At U23 level, Cornelia Kapocs scored twice for Sweden on Thursday as they won a friendly meeting with Spain 3-2. Their second match of the window comes versus Italy on June 2.
