Kerkez played 76 minutes of the affair in Budapest, while his Reds teammate was withdrawn in the closing stages.
There was defeat for Andy Robertson's Scotland, who were beaten by a single goal against Japan.
Robertson captained his nation for the opening 70 minutes of the contest at Hampden Park.
Elsewhere, Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni started England U19s' 1-0 win versus Poland in a European Championship qualifier.
