However, Szoboszlai struck in the first minute of added time from close range, finishing from a low Daniel Lukacs cross inside the six-yard box to earn a valuable point in Group F.
Liverpool teammate Milos Kerkez also featured in the game, completing 79 minutes.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was selected to start for Georgia in Group E of World Cup qualifying, though they were beaten 4-1 by Turkiye.
At U19s level, Trey Nyoni started and scored for England in their 7-0 victory over Wales in a friendly at La Quinta Football Centre, with Rio Ngumoha a second-half substitute for the Young Lions in Spain.
Meanwhile, in U21 Euros qualifying, Armin Pecsi was in goal for Hungary as they drew 1-1 with Turkiye.
