The Liverpool centre-back will be part of Didier Deschamps’ 25-man group for the tournament in Germany, which begins next month.
Les Bleus are in Group D and will face Austria (June 17), the Netherlands (June 21) – for whom fellow Reds Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk have been named in a provisional squad – and Poland (June 25).
France have friendlies scheduled against Luxembourg and Canada before the Euros begin.
