Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says Liverpool and any other clubs interested in signing him will have to wait until after the European Championships if they wish to complete a deal for his controversial transfer.

The Napoli star has watched rather bizarre circumstances play out in Italy, with his club hitting back at his father and his agent over recent comments. His representative Mamuka Jugeli told Georgian media earlier this month that he wants his client to leave his current employers.

"I don't want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli," he declared. "We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League."
