The Liverpool defender shared in the latest instalment of Backyard Dreams, presented by official lawn care partner Husqvarna, that his determination to keep the ball out of his team's net started from an early age.

He told presenter Chelcee Grimes: "As I remember when I was a kid, I would love to play [as a] goalkeeper always, jumping in the street. I loved diving to save the ball, even when the street was hard.

"But after I don't know how [long], I changed. I think maybe the height was the problem!

"I think when you are a kid you just try to enjoy the moment, to play with your friends and just to laugh."
