Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a total agreement over a deal for striker Hugo Ekitike.

The Reds and the German outfit have struck a transfer deal said to be worth £69m plus £10m in add-ons.

Ekitike is now set to fly to Merseyside later this week to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on a contract with Arne Slot's team.

The 23-year-old was an unused substitute during a pre-season friendly on Saturday amid ongoing discussions over his immediate future.

He netted 22 goals in 48 games across all competitions last season as he helped the Bundesliga side secure Champions League football.
