News'He has all the tools' - Andoni Iraola's admiration for Jeremy Jacquet

The French centre-back arrived at the Reds this summer after a deal was agreed with Stade Rennais at the outset of 2026 to sign him.

Iraola followed Jacquet in moving to Merseyside, of course, by being appointed head coach in June.

Asked about Liverpool’s new No.5, the boss told Stan Sport: “Jeremy was a player that I knew very well, even before signing for Liverpool.

“Still being young, I think he has all the tools that we will need for that position.

“He also came into the last months of the [past] season with a shoulder injury, but he is fully healed. He has been already training with the U21s.

“He’s ready to go from the beginning.”
