NewsHarvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon feature on GOAL's 2022 NXGN list

The Liverpool duo have been recognised as some of the best young talent in world football.

Elliott is ranked fifth this year, improving on his 26th position in 2021, as 17-year-old Gordon takes up 40th spot.

The list was compiled by journalists operating in 37 countries and a panel of football experts, with players born on or after January 1, 2003 eligible.

Elliott has made 19 appearances for Liverpool’s first team since arriving in 2019, having also benefited from a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship last term.

Gordon, meanwhile, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Jürgen Klopp's senior squad, featuring four times in 2021-22.
