Liverpool full-back Owen Beck is living out his dream after being called up to Wales' senior team for the first time.

The 21-year-old is part of Rob Page's squad for a friendly with Gibraltar and then a Euro 2024 qualifier against Croatia this week.

It's the latest proud career milestone for Beck, who joined the Reds' set-up at U13 level and has gone on to represent Jürgen Klopp's side on two occasions to date.

Speaking to reporters while on international duty, he said: "When I got called up, it was kind of a dream come true.

"I've been with the U21s and when the manager called me, it was a dream come true and a surreal moment.

"I've just been trying to enjoy it every day and take it game by game. I think I've done that. I'm just trying to make as many positive impressions as I can."

Beck's development is continuing this season with a loan spell at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

Having made 10 appearances so far in 2023-24, he's already feeling the benefits of regular football in a senior environment.

"Just playing regularly is the main thing really," Beck continued. "Playing 90 minutes will build me up as a player and a person really. I'm taking that game by game.

"I think I'm in good form and just trying to keep the consistency up is the main thing really."
