The official matchday programme for the 12pm BST kick-off remembers the late Matt Beard, with Gemma Bonner paying a poignant tribute to a pivotal figure in her career.

Reds defender Bonner recalls the 2013 and 2014 WSL title triumphs under 'Beardy', the man who handed her a WSL debut at Chelsea as a 19-year-old.

She is now on the brink of becoming only the third player to reach 200 appearances in the competition, and she reflects on the growth of the women's game in the 14 years since her first start and the role of pioneers such as Beard.

Head coach Gareth Taylor and captain Grace Fisk also provide testimonials to the former LFC Women manager and the current squad of players following the toughest of weeks for everyone connected with the club.

Players past and present offer their own salutes to Beard, too, and there is a selection of images from his time at Liverpool guaranteed to raise a smile.

The official matchday programme will be on sale at St Helens Stadium.
