Alexis Mac Allister’s stunning long-range strike put Arne Slot’s side ahead early on, though Fulham led 3-1 at the break thanks to goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz.
Luis Diaz reduced the deficit in the second half and Harvey Elliott then hit the crossbar, but the visitors were unable to force an equaliser.
