The Liverpool FC Women midfielder played the opening 45 minutes of her nation’s 2-1 win over the USA in California – their third victory out of three at the tournament.

That result saw Japan finish top of the four-team group – three points clear of the USA in second place – and take the trophy.

Elsewhere at the competition, Reds goalkeeper Teagan Micah played the full match for Australia as they were beaten 2-1 by Colombia.
