The Liverpool midfielder created the opening goal for her country in a 4-1 victory over South Korea in Sydney.
A high press into the opposition box saw Nagano win possession and tee up Riko Ueki to net and set Japan on course for the win.
Maika Hamano, Saki Kumagai and Remina Chiba were also on the scoresheet for Japan, with Kang Chae-rim claiming a consolation for South Korea.
Nagano featured for the whole of the last-four tie and Reds teammate Risa Shimizu was introduced as a substitute in the closing minutes.
