LFC WomenFriendly v AFC Fylde Women postponed
The 60-minute game was due to be held at the Reds’ training ground at The Campus. However, a rise in COVID-19 cases in the area has led to the decision.
A small number of positive tests have been returned among the playing and coaching staff, with a few others now isolating as a precaution.
LFC Women manager Matt Beard said: “Of course we were looking forward to Sunday for our first game but it’s important we follow all the relevant guidance.
“The majority of the squad are continuing to train within the correct procedures but the sensible thing is to wait.”
A decision on rescheduling the match will be made in due course.
