Liverpool FC has received confirmation from the FA of the 100 chartered coaches for the Emirates FA Cup semi-final.

These will provide free travel for up to 5,000 fans who are attending the fixture against Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday April 16.

Further information will follow as to how supporters can reserve their space. Please be advised that coach spaces are available for ticket holders only.

Travel advice

Train services are severely limited due to essential engineering works being carried out over the Bank Holiday weekend by Network Rail on the West Coast Mainline.

On Saturday April 16 and Sunday April 17 there will be no trains running between London Euston and Scotland on the West Coast Mainline. All services on this route will be affected, including between London and the north west. These planned works will also make services operated by Chiltern Railways extremely busy.

Therefore, the FA, Network Rail and Chiltern Railways strongly advise that Liverpool and Manchester City supporters affected should avoid travelling from the north west by train wherever possible and seek alternative travel arrangements.

On Saturday April 16 and Sunday April 17, TransPennine Express is also urging customers not to travel on TransPennine Express services due to strike action by the RMT. Strike action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) is due to take place on both Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday (April 16 and 17), with only a very small number of trains in operation. Supporters are being urged not to travel on either of these two days, and instead travel either side of these.
