Eight more players have been added to the Liverpool FC Legends squad ahead of the LFC Foundation charity match against Borussia Dortmund Legends next month.

The defence has been strengthened by the addition of Ragnar Klavan, while Mark Gonzalez, Igor Biscan and Jay Spearing have been added to the midfield options for the fixture, which takes place at 3pm GMT on Saturday March 28 at Anfield.

Further up the pitch, Ryan Babel, Florent Sinama-Pongolle, Albert Riera and Jermaine Pennant will be forward options for the Legends management team.

Riera returns after featuring last time out when the LFC Legends hosted Chelsea last March, while the other seven former Reds were in action for the Legends side that secured a 1-0 win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge last October.

The squad is now almost complete, with Steven Gerrard, Thiago Alcantara, Sami Hyypia, and goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina and Sander Westerveld already confirmed.

The management team for this year's charity match has also been announced, with Jürgen Klopp - the Foundation's honorary ambassador - returning to the Anfield dugout to assist manager Sir Kenny Dalglish. They will be joined on the sidelines by LFC official ambassador and all-time record goalscorer Ian Rush, and Forever Reds chair John Aldridge.

Once again, all of the proceeds from this fixture – supported by AXA and held in association with Forever Reds – will go directly towards the work of LFC Foundation and Forever Reds. Funds raised will support LFC Foundation's employability programmes, which help people across the community to find work, gain qualifications and develop new skills through mentoring and training.

The game will also contribute to the Foundation's long-term strategy and its ambition to support 500,000 people a season by 2030.
