After moving to Merseyside from Valencia on June 16, 2004, the Spaniard would etch his name into the club's history books.
At the end of Benitez's first season, he delivered a fifth European Cup for the Reds, masterminding the dramatic 2005 'Miracle of Istanbul' against AC Milan.
His six years and 350 games at the helm overall included more silverware in the form of an FA Cup triumph in 2006, alongside a UEFA Super Cup and FA Community Shield.
