Liverpool could have Alisson Becker back in goal when they travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.
The Brazilian made a return to training on Thursday after recovering from the injury he sustained away at Manchester City last month.
Klopp told reporters that the fitness of the No.1 would be monitored ahead of the Selhurst Park encounter, along with that of Alexis Mac Allister, who is doubtful with the knock he picked up in Wednesday's win over Sheffield United.
The Reds boss said on Friday morning: "Alisson looks good, I don't know if good enough now for tomorrow. I have to check that with the coaches and the medical department, and with Ali, of course.
"Macca doesn't look good, so we have to see day by day. They were pretty hopeful after the game that it was not serious. It's not that serious but in the period of the year if you are out for five days, it's 12 games pretty much.
"We have to wait there how he shows up here today. I don't expect him to be ready for tomorrow, I don't know about Thursday or Sunday after that, so it's pretty much stop and go. We have to see."
Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson remain unavailable.

The defender came off with a hip problem in the first half of their 2-0 defeat by AFC Bournemouth in midweek.
He now joins Eberechi Eze, Cheick Doucoure, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Rob Holding and Dean Henderson on the sidelines for the Eagles.
"This game was definitely too quick coming around for him to be considered," Hodgson said at his pre-match press conference. "But that doesn't mean that he won't be considered for the next game."
Hodgson continued: "The other one we have to think about, I might as well say it now, is that we have to be making a decision about [Michael] Olise.
"After almost four months out and an enormous spike in his workload in the last two games, the sports science people are telling me to be very, very careful with him.
"Now that is difficult because he's a very good player and you don't want to be careful with your best players, but it's something we have to take into consideration. But as yet, we haven't made a decision."
