NewsConor Bradley voted Liverpool's Men's Player of the Month for January

The full-back was presented with the award for the first time today, having finished ahead of Diogo Jota in second and third-placed Joe Gomez in our poll of supporters.

Upon receiving the accolade at the AXA Training Centre, Bradley told Liverpoolfc.com: “Thank you, it’s a privilege. Obviously it’s been a good month for me, it’s been a good couple of games and yeah, I’m just very happy to win it. As I say, it’s a privilege.

“It means a bit more [being voted for by the fans]. Obviously from the Chelsea game, hearing my name get sung out was probably the most special moment of my life, to be honest, because I have supported the club all my life.

“But yeah, it coming from the supporters as well, I can’t thank them enough for the support they have given me.”

The Northern Ireland international made six appearances during January, registering five assists and his first goal at senior level – a superb strike that crowned a Player of the Match-winning display in the 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield.

It doesn’t get much better for a lifelong Liverpool supporter and graduate of the Academy, does it?

“No, it doesn’t, to be fair!” the 20-year-old, who also won LFC Goal of the Month for January, replied.

“I just felt like I was in a dream the whole game. It was pretty mental and it just felt like nothing could go wrong for me, so yeah, I just want to keep working hard now, though, and hopefully focus on the next game and see where it takes us.”

Bradley is now back with the club after a period of compassionate leave following the passing of his father, and outlined his determination to maintain his outstanding form in the coming weeks.

“Definitely, I just want to pick up where I left off,” he stated.

“I just want to keep trying to play as well as I can for the team and help the team as much as I can, so hopefully I can pick up with that on Saturday and see what happens.”
