NewsConfirmed: Liverpool qualify for Champions League knockout phase
By Chris Shaw
Results elsewhere in the competition on Tuesday night mean Arne Slot's side are now assured of advancing to at least the play-off round.
The sides placed ninth to 24th at the end of the league phase will face off in two-legged play-offs to reach the last 16.
The Reds, who face Marseille in France this evening and then host Qarabag next week, will now set sights on claiming a position in the top eight.
Those teams who end the league phase from first to eighth place skip the play-offs and move directly into the Round of 16.
