ReactionCody Gakpo: We're really enjoying it at the moment but have to keep going like this
Cody Gakpo reiterated Liverpool's hunger for success this season following Thursday night's 6-1 victory over Sparta Prague.
The Reds earned passage into the quarter-finals of the Europa League thanks to an 11-2 aggregate defeat of Czechia's champions in their last-16 tie.
Gakpo netted in the opening flurry of goals at Anfield, with Jürgen Klopp's men scoring four times in the first 14 minutes.
The No.18 also turned home a second-half shot from Harvey Elliott to claim his second of the evening, and post-match he stressed that the squad are keen to keep their momentum going.
"I think we're very hungry to win every game and to play always our best football that we can do," Gakpo told Liverpoolfc.com.
"It doesn't matter what the score was in the first leg, obviously it's another game we can play and another game we can win, play good football, have a good evening with all the guys.
"I think we're really enjoying it at the moment, but we have to stay focused and keep going like this."

On the quick start to the game...
I think it was a fantastic first 20 minutes. That's how you like to start a game. I think it was amazing. [We had] good pressing, beautiful attacks, good goals. That's all we wished for in the beginning and it became reality.
On whether he is claiming the sixth goal...
I heard it was mine! Obviously it was a good shot from Harv. I was personally not really sure if it went on goal or not and then I just touched it a little bit and then it went in.
On players slowly returning from injury...
I think it's very important towards the end of the season when you're still in the race for everything that everybody is coming back and fit and sharp as ever. Mo [Salah] is looking as good as always, Dom [Szoboszlai] [had] another full game in his legs and a goal. We all played and I think that's what we need. So, from here on we can go forward and look forward to Sunday and to the rest of the season.
On still being in the fight on all trophy fronts...
I think we are in a good place, in a good moment but nowhere yet. So, we have to stay focused and keep ourselves fit and work together. Hopefully there are no more injuries and it can be a really special season.
