NewsChampions League league-phase draw details
By Chris Shaw
The second season featuring a revamped format will again see 36 teams participate during the opening stage of the competition proper.
Clubs are separated, based on seeding, into four pots of nine and will then be assigned to play two sides from each pot – one at home and one away.
In principle, teams cannot be drawn to face a club from their own league and cannot meet more than two opponents from any one other country.

The draw for the league phase will be held in Monaco and is scheduled to begin at 5pm BST. It will be streamed live on UEFA.com.
