From an original tally of 100, there are now 60 contenders left for the prestigious annual honour, which recognises the achievements of players under the age of 21 at top-flight clubs in European football.
The candidates are being reduced by 20 each month until the winner is announced at a ceremony in Turin later this year.
And Liverpool pair Carvalho and Elliott continue to stake their claim for the prize having been included in the 60-strong field announced by award organisers Tuttosport today.
Fans can have their say on who should be crowned Golden Boy at the Tuttosport website.
