TransferBilly Koumetio seals loan move to Austria Vienna

Liverpool defender Billy Koumetio has completed a loan move to Austria Vienna, subject to international clearance.

The centre-back links up with the Austrian Bundesliga side ahead of 2022-23 as he builds up further senior experience.

Koumetio joined the Reds’ Academy in 2018 and has made two first-team appearances under Jürgen Klopp since debuting in a Champions League tie at FC Midtjylland in December 2020.

A member of the U18s team that reached the FA Youth Cup final in 2020-21, Koumetio was then a regular in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League last season.
