According to German outlet SportBILD, Slot has been out in Germany to watch the Netherlands reach the quarter-final stage of the tournament and ahead of their clash against Turkey, he's reported to have been in direct contact with the 23-year-old, who was pivotal for Xavi Alonso's double-winning Bayer Leverkusen side last season.
Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich now has a 'realistic chance' at becoming one of Slot's first signings as Liverpool boss this summer. It has been widely claimed that the Bayern Munich midfielder is pushing for an exit from the Bundesliga giants this summer.
