NewsArne Slot on Alisson Becker status
By Chris Shaw
The No.1 missed the Reds’ defeat at Fulham in the Premier League having previously been absent for the Anfield win over Everton, as he continues to abide by concussion guidelines as a result of a collision he suffered representing Brazil last month.
Asked about Alisson post-match at Craven Cottage, head coach Slot told BBC Sport: “Yes, he did [not pass the concussion protocol]. There’s a week to go [until the next match] so that gives us a bit of time.
“But you know as Liverpool we always follow the protocol in moments like this when it’s a concussion. If you haven’t ticked all the boxes, he can’t be in goal.
“He wants it a lot but the protocol is the protocol.”
