InterviewArmin Pecsi explains 'big, big' motivation on return to Liverpool
A regular in the Hungary youth teams, the 21-year-old goalkeeper was handed his senior debut for his country in June - almost a year to the day he signed for the Reds.
Pecsi spent most of his opening season on Merseyside finding competitive minutes with Rob Page's U21s squad, though was also included on the senior bench on five occasions.

After a whirlwind 12 months adjusting to life in Kirkby, his campaign concluded on a high when he stepped off the bench for his nation in a 3-1 friendly victory over Kazakhstan.
"It was a really proud moment for me and my family as well," he told Liverpoolfc.com with a smile. "It gave me a big, big motivation to start again [this season].
"I think that was the highlight of the off-season. I think it gave me a lot. It was my first camp with the first team of Hungary, so I was really happy to make my debut."
Pecsi has been back at the AXA Training Centre this week alongside his teammates as preparations for 2026-27 begin under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
The Reds' pre-season will jump up a gear when they travel to the USA next week for a training camp and friendly fixtures, with Pecsi hopeful of using the time to his advantage.
"I always look at the players and how they move in training or off the pitch," he added.
"They do things that maybe I can put to my game or personality. It's really inspiring to be among these players. They are also really nice guys, so I can learn from them a lot."

On returning for pre-season...
The summer was really good. It was quite long so I feel ready again. It's good to be back.

On feeling at home at Liverpool...
I really feel settled. It was a lot different when I came on my first day than when I came in now. It was good to be back. I know everybody now so it's really different.
On the help he has received from countrymen Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez...
Dom could help me a lot last year and Milos also arrived too. Anything that I wanted to get help with or someone to call or text, he [Szoboszlai] was always there. He really helped me a lot.
On using pre-season as an opportunity to impress...
Pre-season is always an opportunity, I think. I want to get back to my shape, and I want to improve myself and show what I can do on the pitch. It's always good to have the pre-season.
On everyone having an opportunity under head coach Iraola...
I hope I can show myself, but the most important [thing] is to get back into shape and improve and also show myself on the training pitch. This is what I want to do in pre-season.
On having ambitions of being involved in the pre-season games...
For me it's day by day. It's to take care of myself physically and do everything to be alright and have no issues with the body. After that, if I can show myself then this is what I want to do.
