Ten new official photos released today show the continued progress on the Anfield Road Stand development.

Work on increasing the capacity at Anfield to 61,000 continues at pace following the news in September that Buckingham Group entered into administration, and Rayner Rowen Construction, along with a number of other contractors, took over the final works on the project.

The new images show the upper-tier seats fully installed and a first look at the new extended general admission concourse, plus design details taking shape inside the new stand.

There is still more work to be completed before the stand can be fully operational and LFC is able to welcome 61,000 fans to Anfield on a matchday.

There will still be a requirement to hold a number of test events in order to satisfy all health and safety regulations, as required by Liverpool City Council.

The aim of these events will be to test the building, systems and management plans, using the welfare facilities, testing entry and exit procedures and fire alarm evacuation. These events are expected to take place before the end of the calendar year. Once these events have taken place and a safety certificate has been granted, the top tier will open in a phased approach.

Everyone at LFC, and all those working on this project, continue to do everything possible to complete the final works and fully open the stand.

Take a look at the new official images below.
