NewsAnfield pays tribute to Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara

The duo were recognised on the pitch after the Reds' 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers to close out the 2023-24 season.

They were given a guard of honour by their teammates before going on stage for a special presentation with Sir Kenny Dalglish, CEO Billy Hogan, alongside principal owner John W Henry and Linda Pizzuti Henry, to mark their service over the last eight and four years respectively.
